Dear Reader,
Making
your way in life is always easier with a teacher! That is the reason we have teachers in school.
It is no different with religion. We
try to find someone who has already spent a lot of time in religion, and ask him
to teach us what he knows. During
and after instruction you are evaluating what you hear, and finally you have to
make a decision yourself about your lessons:
whether you believe or not, whether your teacher is correct or not, that
what you will do with what you have learned.
Those
who study this course may have a wide range of background, from those who know
nothing about Christianity to those who are already well versed.
So don't be discouraged if sometimes it is too simple or too complex for
you. If it is too simple, pay more
attention to the questions distributed throughout the lessons.
If it is too complex, study more carefully the text, and write us about
the points where it is too complex and we will try to answer your need.
Of course, it will take a lifetime of learning to discover everything
about Jesus Christ and the Christian life.
Here we can only begin.
As
your teacher, I want to encourage you not to hurry through these lessons.
Rather, think carefully about them and reflect upon them.
Read all the Bible references, if you have a Bible or New Testament. If you do not have a Bible, you should spend more time
considering what is said--the early Church did not have a Bible either!
Do all the assignments listed within the lesson, even writing them out,
if you can. You can see that they
are important lessons that will make a lot of difference in your life.
Pray to God to guide you with his Holy Spirit, because this is the only
way you can come to new life.
If you have questions or if explanations aren't clear, please let me know. Your remarks will even help us improve the lessons.
